Love Ivy Wok. Been going there since high school. Tons of great values. You should try steamed dumplings. Buffalo wings have a cinnamon coated sauce. Fried rice isn't stained yellow but white rice fried instead. Works with uber eats.
Cons: not much electricity for charging and ownership at times have been really hard on those who come in and try to charge their phone while dining. I've actually seen a dispute over it once which surprised me. But I only know half the story. -

Whenever you order a dish from Ivy Wok, there will always be something distinctly "Ivy Wok-y" about the taste. Not that this is a terrible thing, but it does feel like all their food eventually tastes the same. All of their fried noodle and soup noodle dishes share the same kind of soy-sauce and fried oil base, but I do like how you can customize the noodle type. Personally, I love their wide egg noodles and their chow fun noodles, which is a thin and wide noodle that pairs well with any of their fried noodle dishes. Portion sizes are decent but not an overwhelming amount of food. Most recently, I ordered the beef chow fun. While the noodles were coated in their signature "Ivy Wok" / generic sauce, they were cooked quite well (soft but still maintained structure) and were steaming hot. The beef, unfortunately, could have been much higher quality. I probably wouldn't order their beef dishes again and would stick to chicken or something predictable.
Some highlights from Ivy Wok that I would recommend are their SIDES: fried pork dumplings (really plump and juicy!) and their scallion pancakes - they pair it with this incredibly fragrant and flavorful sauce, and the scallion pancakes are always perfectly and delicately fried.
The servers are efficient and straight to the point. While Ivy Wok won't win any points for congeniality, the speed with which the food comes out can't be beat. Lastly, it is in an undeniably convenient location steps away from the central campus at Yale. -

Ordered from here a few times it's ok but far from my favorite Chinese place in the area. Menu has most typical items but is a bit strange and missing a few staples such as beef and broccoli. I would give it three stars except I feel quite ill after eating /drinking here tonight and for some reason I ordered three Pepsi and they gave me only one Pepsi and two other sodas with no caffeine.

My favorite Asian food spot in Connecticut. Especially when I'm hungry after 9 PM and all the other places are closed. Been a loyal customer here for like 15 years. They know me well and always ask me "the same". Of course I always get my favorite dish there. Once in a while I ask the owner for the curry soup recipe and she always says "it's a secret". It's the best curry soup I ever had. Sometimes I get curry soup to bring to New York when I visit. Everyone loves it. The curry soup is very flavorful with coconut and spices, but not too spicy. Getting hungry writing this review so I will be going to Ivy Wok for the usual. Seafood curry udon and a side of sesame wontons.

The worst roast pork and duck over rice I have ever had! My friend at Yale took me here when I was visiting her. I only took one bite before putting my chopsticks down. She immediately knew it was bad from my facial expression :(
Avoid it at all possible!
